Simpsons did it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
In an episode from the eighth season, “My Sister, My Sitter”, first aired on March 2nd 1997, the show presents Homer and Marge on a date outside the ‘Crypto Barn’, where a slogan casually states, “A place for codes.”
Then in “30 minutes over Tokyo”, the snake Jailbird steals family savings using a diskette.. Say what?! Wasn’t Mt. Gox based in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan? Do you think that’s just a coincidence or can the Simpsons predict the future?
A price tag of US$81,000 appears to be their prediction for Bitcoin. After all, they did get right the presidency of Donald Trump, Neymar's injury in the 2014 World Cup, Germany's win over Brazil, or even the NSA spy scandal among many others.
Receiving messages from the future or interpreting general things in new ways based on current events? What’s the deal with The Simpsons?
