The Cyber Kidz Club is a new NFT series from the team at StickHen. The series is based on a group of 6666 Kidz who are hanging on for survival in the year 2420 after a series of catastrophic events are triggered by Proof-of-Work (PoW) mega-chains. The Kidz form a colony known as Cyber City, where they establish a means of life forged out of what is left of the world after these events nearly destroy their race. The team has built a backstory and even has a fun little story board in the works for the Kidz. Lets take a look at how these Kidz found themselves in this predicament...
"Its the year 2419. Bitcoin is already the world's largest asset by market capitalization, exploding toa value of over a hundred times that of any company in existence. Previous deflationary items of value such as gold or silver are no longer considered a source of value. Millions of people around the world watch as the collapse of the old financial system takes place and the dawn of an era where cryptocurrency is king arises. In 2020 less than 1% of the world held cryptocurrency; in 2419 nearly everyone alive uses it as a main source of valuation. However, some things never changed; Ethereum Maxis are still waiting for Eth 2.0. XRP is still battling against the SEC in court, SHIB hasn't made it to .0001 $USD, Elon Musk never accepted $DOGE as a payment method to move to Mars and clean energy research has been thrown to the wayside to convert into resources for cryptocurrency mining.
With the world collapsing around them, everyone was stuck living their artificial lives inside the Metaverse. Every day millions of new assets were minted for people to use inside their virtual realities. All of these were created on PoW blockchains that insisted in using unsustainable methods to maintain their systems. Finally, in the year 2420, the world's nuclear reactor grid went into a chain-reaction meltdown and the end of the world quickly approached.
As every corner of the world became uninhabitable, nearly all of its population has been wiped out. A small group of scientists banded together and built an oasis in the wasteland known later as Cyber City to try and escape this radioactive hell that had created. Radiation poisoning caused terrible mutations in some, but for a very lucky few it was a blessing, instigating a developed tolerance to the environment around them; these individuals were all children.
There were 6666 survivors. They watched in awe as everything around them lay in ruins. Their families lost to the radiation while they somehow managed to survive what would later be called the Great Meltdown. They knew they had to organize themselves in order to sustain their new way of life. The survivors happened to stumble upon the Ooasis that was left behind for them by the scientist group. Together they formed the Cyber Kidz Club, where they would come to live and thrive in a space protected from all dangers that surrounded them.
The creation of this club marked a new era in history, where they would have the chance to stay far away from the mistakes that led them towards destruction. They now have but one goal, survive and try to bring back civilization to their destroyed world. Will they learn from the mistakes of the past? Or will they thrive in the creation of something new? Only time will tell."
