In August, Litecoin had its third halving event, which saw the block reward halved to 6.25 LTC. The next block reward halving is predicted to occur in approximately 1,400 days.

Litecoin is like Bitcoin in that it has a limited supply. There will never be more than 84 million Litecoin in existence, four times Bitcoin's supply limit. This scarcity is often cited as one of the factors contributing to Litecoin's value.
