I already have some Bitcoin that I own and I wanted to start buying more via a DCA strategy as a small part of my portfolio (I’m mainly in VEQT).
I was gonna sell the btc and put it all into an etf like FBTC, but I realize selling the btc would trigger a tax event.
My options are basically:
-
Keep buying actual Bitcoin and forget the etf
-
Stop buying Bitcoin and buy the etf from today
-
Sell the btc now, pay the taxes, and buy the etf (taxes would be lower now since I have less btc than I would have in 10 years or so)
