I've got ckpool running on my own Ubuntu based node. I'm currently using it as a backup to the online solo.ckpool.org instance. I'm considering using my instance as the primary pool instead, and wonder what others think about doing this.
I have 1Gig fibre network, with bitcoin core connecting to the outside world using Tor and I2P, but not ipv4 or ipv6. I usually have about 30 connections (20 in, 10 out) to other nodes most of the time, and could probably increase the number of connections somewhat.
Is this setup good enough to solo mine using my own node, or should I be worried about not being able to propagate a block fast enough in the unlikely event that I find a block solution?
