I need help with an investment plan for 2026/ portfolio rebalancing.

35 yr male. Regarded choices. Anyways I have 0 clue what I am doing and been lucky so far. I started with the GME debacle. made 10k. spent pretty much most of that to buy two high end computers to support my programming passion.

-> A few years later ->

I have dca into several investment accounts.

Crypto:

  • Bitcoin - 8.4k
  • litecoin - $100
  • Eth - $600

Stocks:

  • regular e-trade investment account - $750 (mix of amazon, mcdonalds, epd)
  • Roth on etrade - $1.9k (voo, schd)

To define what I meant by "rebalancing". I do not plan on selling anything, I only plan to change what I dca into.

Also the crypto situation is a little unusual. I run a trading bot that I created. in january of 2025 I started trading with $300 and i slowly upped it to $5000. By december i discover i made about $2000 profits from that.

Now My dilemma might start to look a little clear. I am horribly unbalanced, my risk is really high in a single asset imo lol. But on the other side coin the gains were really good.

My regarded plan for 2026

  1. move all 8k bitcoin to a "hold" wallet that the trade bot will not touch.
  2. start over with the trading bot as before.
  3. Split up a $500 monthly dca between stocks, roth, and new trade bot.
  4. code 3 more trade bots i had ideas for (start small)
  5. start more side hustles that are not trading related to funnel money into my investment plans.

Self doubt thoughts:

  1. Moving all 8k bitcoin to a hold wallet , brings my profits to 0 and i will have to start over and if im splitting the dca to do more in stocks then it will be slower... but in the event of a major run up. the bot wont automatically sell everything for under 5 percent profit when gains could be way higher.
  2. in the event of increase of income i would increase my stocks position.
  3. trade bot does need a minimum amount of cash for it to work as well as it does. Higher volume = lower trade fees. With low margin bots, moving down just 1 fee tier can almost double profits. The goal is to bring the trade bot back up to 5k but rounding up the time to the year with my estimates that would take 2 years.
  4. i was thinking $400 for the tradebot portfolio for the first 4 months then $200 for 8 months after. with the rest being split 75% stocks regular account 25% stocks for roth.
  5. i was also thinking that my thinking is completely stupid and i should just yolo it all into the bot if its doing good.
  6. i was also thinking that my thinking is completely stupid because i keep flipping back and forth between greed/risk/sustainability.
  7. then i thought i need some unbiased thoughts. I strive to be a robot, an unemotional trader, but i am still human and all this second guessing has my thoughts tied in knots. someone call me an idiot. it might help!
