Hey all,
So I have been dealing with a romantic scam with my sister. She is 41 and developmentally delayed and a vulnerable adult. My parents and I have been on trying to get through to her, including watching some scammer payback and working with her therapist. It all started in 2020 when these jackals were given all the time in the world to run their seems and found her on Facebook.
They used all the normal tactics impersonating a celebrity she was following. And the rest is well history, along with ate least $4000 that we know of. We had some light parental controls which she was able to get around. Likely with guidance from the scammer. I'm in it and specializing in small to medium business and a generalist so I was able to serup a full mdm lock down. But I think I just found a way they were getting around everything. Web mail, Google duo on the web, etc... I am just beyond frustrated and tendering on the edge of full depression.
